Nurse Noise specializes in cross-genre booty-shaking, bass-heavy, good-time feeling beats. She believes the attitude behind the decks is just as important as the music selection and mixing. With a background in performing arts, you might find her dancing on speakers or using light toys to get the crowd going.
Nurse Noise is the co-founder of a unique live dance and DJ collective called the Venus Groove Collective. Additionally, she contributes to the 3 Degrees, Angels of bAss, Stream Equinox, Unison, Rhythm Society, and Friends and Family communities.
Starting her DJ career in 1996 in college radio at KSCU and then KUSF, Nurse Noise had a prime-time radio show for seven years called "The Treatment Show". Gradually she worked her way into the club scene through Burning Man camps, Magic Glasses, Coda, & Illuminaughty, and campout festivals.
Currently, Nurse Noise is DJing in-person events, teaching DJ lessons, and building communities through music and dance.
